Abstract;Occipital nerve block is applied for tension-type headache, traumatic cervical syndrome, occipital headache, and occipital neuritis. Greater occipital nerve block is applied for clinical use. In lying position and sitting position, patients may be unsteady after the treatment. There is no serious complication. Ecchymoma may be caused by puncture. Pain by ecchymoma lasts a few days. When occipital neuritis and inflammation are observed, the mixture of steroid and local anesthetic is used for the block.
