| Abstract; In intercultural communication, there are large barriers because the languages and cultures are different. We think that it is preferable for people to communicate smoothly with their own mother tongue. Therefore, we have developed a chat system named AnnoChat. AnnoChat has an annotation function for smooth intercultural communications. AnnoChat was applied to experiments carried out among the Japanese, Chinese, and Koreans. From the results of the experiments, about 70% of the added annotations are reusable for intercultural knowledge information. About 20% of the added annotations are used to supplement information that could not be described while chatting. It is thought that this is an effective example of applying the annotation in real-time communications. (author abst.) |
