Abstract; We measured thermal diffusivity and estimated thermal conductivity of polystyrene, by the laser flash method. Then, the deviation of that conductivity existed in 10% of the recommended data. It was confirmed that thermal conductivity of Ti could be measured by steady state method. It was found that the thermal diffusivity of polymer blends (PS/PPO, PMMA/PC) changed stepwise around Tg and LCST with increase of temperature. Thermal conductivity of polyethylene composites with copper was measured by laser flash method. It was almost equal to that measured by the steady state method, in the range of less than 30%, while. it became higher in the range of more than 30% with increasing of copper content. It was confirmed that thermal contact resistance could be evaluated by applying the steady method. (author abst.)
