Abstract; This paper proposes a new cooperative surveillance system which provides surveillance of whole observation area by active cameras. In the proposed system, each active camera adjusts their observation area to decrease blind spots in the whole surveillance area by overlapping into neighboring areas observed by other active cameras. Using by actual equipment system and simulator software, we made a functional assessment of decreasing blind spots in the whole surveillance area during object tracking, by increasing and decreasing number of active cameras.
