| Abstract; The aim of the present investigation is to estimate reaction rates and structure of various carbonaceous materials to clarify structure of carbonaceous materials of high reactivity to accelerate the reduction reactions in a blast furnace. Activated carbon, charcoal (a Bincho-charcoal), bamboo charcoal, natural graphite, metallurgical coke, artificial coke, and glassy carbon are employed for the experiments. The estimation test results reported in the previous paper on the gasification reactivity like the reaction rates and CO adsorption RSA with reported experimental methods, and structure analysis results like XRD, specific surface areas, pore distribution, and bonding features of carbon are investigated. The highest reactivity carbon is a material of the graphite structure transformed from random layered structure with the pore of 10'-8'-10'-6'm. A remaining task is to define an evaluation method for the random layered structure in carbonaceous materials of the graphite structure basically. |
