| Abstract; The author proposes a revolutional blast furnace system that can reduce the energy unit by half based on quantitative computations of the effects of blast furnace operations on emitted carbon based on material and heat balance calculations for the global warming issues. The element technology of the proposed technology is also presented as the development of high-duty combustion technology at the tips of tuyeres and the total energy balance at a total steel plant are reported as well. The effects of the blast furnace operational factors like injection of hydrogen gas to the furnaces, injection of waste plastic materials, steam injection, oxygen enrichment degree and low temperature operation of blast furnace are investigated based on the heat balance computations. Based on the results, an environmental friendly revolutional blast furnace system incorporating the low temperature operation of blast furnaces, uses of hydrogen type reductant, and recirculation of the blast furnace gas is proposed, and an integrated iron making system combined with furnace top gas pressure electric generation, and oxygen manufacturing plants is also proposed. |
