| Abstract;Investigation results of advanced blast furnaces are reported. The tasks are to reduce the operating temperature of a blast furnace by 200.DEG.C., to reduce required energy, to improve the gas utilization with fast reaction rates, ultra-high efficiency and low environmental burdens conducted by a compact furnace project team. Simulation model computation results are shown with a virtual operation utilizing the top gas circulation with hydrogen type fuel, improved reducibility of sintered ore, accelerated carburization of reduced iron, and low temperature melting of slag. These results suggest the practical realization of the proposed system to be hopeful. |
