Abstract;Various simulation methods for the nucleation boiling that is a most efficient heat transfer mode and accompanied with phase changes of vapor and liquid with bubble formation are explained. The boiling modeling and numerical simulation methods based on the equilibrium thermodynamics and thermal convection to the most recent methods of mixed phase flow numerical simulation with boiling are reviewed. The bubble tracking simulation by time progressing method, the MAC method, the Navier-Stokes type bubble growth simulation, CFD technology, and the Level set method ALE/FEM, VOF method and MARS method backed up by the progress of super computers are explained. The mixed phase flow direct simulation with one phase fluid model boiling is becoming to practical uses, and construction of substitutional model experiments, and XFD prediction and experimental verifications are increasing the importance of the technology both at laboratories and at manufacturing floors.
