Abstract;Development of efficient and cost-effective stirring methods is hoped for metallurgical industries, and one of the candidates is proposed to stir molten metal effectively by the gyrating phenomenon generated by injected gas through a nozzle placed at a bottom of the reaction vessel. The present report is on the basic features of gyrating bubble jet flow in addition to gyrating liquid jet flow, and examples of planned applications of the method. The specific aspect ratio for inducing the fluid motion up and down or in the horizontal direction, the frequency, and cycles, and the rotational sloshing phenomena that the liquid starts rotational motion, the gyratory motions of fluid and bubbles, and application examples in iron and steel industries and other industries as stirring methods.
