Abstract;A mathematical model for describing the complete combustion of injected pulverized coal of a large amount in the raceway in a blast furnace operation, and for the evaluation of the operation is explained. The mathematical model that is developed by the authors on the analyses of the behavior of bulky coke, and the contents of the mathematical modeling considering the solid and vapor movements, heat transfer and reaction phenomena based on the discrete element method, and the verification results are explained.
