| Abstract; The effects of additions of organic compounds and reagents to coal on the growth rate of carbon during the dry distillation of coal are investigated as following to the previous report. The results obtained are that 1) the additions of organic compounds to coal increase the growth rate of deposited carbon, and the increasing ratio with respect to the volatile matter is much larger in the growth rate than coal to be dry distilled without mixing, and that 2) the similar effect is observed when polycyclic aromatic reagent is added to coal. Thus, the growth stage of thermally decomposed carbon from dry distillation is concluded to be strongly related with polycyclic organic compounds. |
