| Abstract; The agglomerated coal addition method for manufacturing coke only by reinforcing coke structure around non-coking coal is investigated for developing economical manufacturing technology of high-strength and high-reactivity coke. The agglomeration process of coal is explained, and investigation results of the manufacturing technology of coke are presented with respect to the coke strength, porosity, and microstructure. By adding agglomerated coal coated by coking coal on the surfaces of low cost and high volatile non-coking coal to mixed coal, the quality of the mixed coal is improved, and manufacturing of high-strength and high-reactivity coke can be manufactured. |
