| Abstract;Behavior of argon gas bubbles is observed by a high-speed camera while horizontal magnetic fields of the intensity of the maximum 7 Tesla is applied by a superconducting magnet in a strong electrolyte aqueous solution with high conductivity in simulating flows of molten steel in continuous casting to be controlled by electromagnetic brakes. The observation reveals that the passage time increases with the applied magnetic field when the bubble diameters are small, and that the effects of the applied magnetic fields on the passage time of bubbles differ depending the observation range of the size of 30mm. |
