| Abstract;Lubricant for rolling process of large strains based on slag is designed by considering the possibility that the lubricant may melt under the high-pressure and the temperature conditions. The phenomenon that when slag absorbs water, the glass transition temperature of the slag decreases under hydrothermal conditions. Experiments are conducted for measuring weight losses and differential thermal analyses as well as in-situ observation. The basic composition of the slag considered is SiO2-Na2O, and effects of the additions of Al2O3, B2O3, CaO, MgO, K2O, Li2O, V2O5 are investigated. Basic data on the low temperature melting to contribute to the reduction of rolling loads are obtained. |
