Abstract;In this paper, we propose the method of generating emphasis expression from moving image. And we develop the system that is applied this method to. This system adds a moving image from a video camera to emphasis expression in real time, and shows the emphasized moving image to output device such as a CRT. In this paper, "emphasis expression" means non-photorealistic motion blur such as cartoon blur. There are three researches related to addition of emphasis expression. In our system, the emphasis expression is added automatically. In order to automatic addition, we use an image processing technique such as filtering, segmentation and a geometry data structure. The cel animation has longer history than 3DCG animation. Therefore the traditional cel animation has various visual effects. Emphasis expression is a most popular visual effect in traditional cel animation techniques. It utilizes the limited space widely. And it can reduce a producer's labor. It hallucination those who are looking also with the number of tops small for making cel animation like the movement toward continuation. Its attention was paid to the usefulness of the emphasis expression in operation in this paper. Much more improvement in recognition is expected by adding emphasis expression to an actual image. It wishes becoming a new image expression. We decided to use a computer for addition of an automatic emphasis expression. We try to implement an automatic adding system of emphasis effect for a speed line at the time of moving quickly with the afterimage at the time of moving slowly. These are used comparatively frequently by cel animation. Using the existing image processing technology and developing it could fulfill the necessary condition of this system. The emphasis expression except having adopted this time is also possible by using this system. The picture with easy recognition of a motion was generable using this system.... (author abst.)
