| Abstract; In general, the images of driving simulators were drawn by use of the perspective projection. However the perspective projection can not always draw our impressions in viewing objects in a real space. In this study, we proposed a method to realize landscape images that has closer feeling to what viewed in the real space. Especially, we focused on perceived size of objects and perceived width of a straight road. First, we proved differences between perceived size and apparent width of the road in the real space and those in a perspective image taken by a video camcorder. Second, based on the experimental results, we proposed a method to render a landscape image as a tool for computer graphics. Finally, we evaluated whether the image created by the proposed method was close to observers' perceived scene in the real space or not. As the result, we showed that the image created by the proposed method could express closer feeling of perceived size and width of the road in the real space. (author abst.) |
