| Abstract; There are next 4 steps in the crisis of pimple. The first step is the activation of sebaceous gland in which androgen is involved, the second is the dyskeratosis causing the blockage of hair pore (pimple formation), the third is the proliferation of acne bacillus in hair follicle, and as the result, as the fourth stage, inflammation is generated. In addition to the above, genetic factor, stress, and probably, diet may also affect the development and seriousness of pimple. Retinoid is a derivative of vitamin A, which prevents the pimple formation by normalizing the peeling of the hair follicle epithelium. There are few countries which approve nadifloxacine that is used widely in Japan. Though inflammatory eruptions are decreased by 46-70% by these drugs, recently, the interests are gathered on the combined use of external antimicrobial drug and benzoyl peroxide or retinoid. As the antimicrobial drug generally administered in common acne, a drug with antibacterial action and anti-inflammatory action is used. Hormone therapy is a therapy for the purpose of suppressing the enhancement of sebaceous gland activity by androgen as the first step of the crisis of pimple, and it is usable in the women. What are approved for the insurance treatment for pimple in Japan are antimicrobial drugs for external, and oral use. |
