| Abstract; The case was in a 26-year-old woman. At the start of photofacial therapy, many pimples, red papules, pustules, indurations and cystic tumors were generated on the face, especially on the cheek, jaw and so-called U-zone. It was improved by internal use of vitamin, internal and external use of antibiotics, and chemical peeling. However, it revived, deteriorated and became intractable, and was examined again. From the typical clinical finding, it was diagnosed as common acne (pimple). Since it was not improved by the treatment with internal and external use of antibiotics, chemical peeling using 20-30% glycolic acid and iontophoresis of vitamin C were performed every 2-4 weeks. Photofacial was used jointly. When irradiated every 3-4 weeks, the new birth decreased from the fourth time, the redness disappeared, and the lesion was flattened. Though the cicatrix was slightly left, it was in a satisfactory condition. This case might not have been improved in a short term by conventional insurance treatment only. |
