| Abstract; The case was in a 19-year-old woman. Pustule with erythema and partly fused cystic tumor-like eruption were generated in the both buccal regions, and improvement and deterioration was repeated for several years. In the case, individual eruption was pimple and follicle-coinciding pustule, and it was diagnosed as pustular acne from that a part was fused to form cystic tumor-like eruption, that the eruption was limited on the face and not observed in the chest or back, and that the improvement and deterioration of the symptom was repeated for several years. The internal use of DDS (diaminodiphenylsulfone) by 75mg/day was started, after it was confirmed that there was no abnormality in blood examination. There was a decrease of pustules and erythemas after about 1 week from the start of DDS treatment. DDS was suspended after about 3 months from the start of intake. During the term of therapy, a slight anemia was caused, but it rapidly recovered after the DDS suspension. This case was considered as pustular acne, since it was resistant to the therapies as common acne such as the internal use of vitamin B2 and B6 or external use of nadifloxacine cream, and that the main lesion was follicle-coinciding, inflammatory pustule with erythema, and cystic tumor-like eruption, rather than pimple. When chemical peeling was performed once a month for 5 times in total, though the caved cicatrix remained, elimination of the pimple and disappearance of erythema were perceived, and it was recognized that there was an improvement effect for the looks. |
