Abstract; The case was in a 79-year-old man, and many gray to gray brown-colored open comedos with no subjective symptom gathered from both angulus oculi medialis and angulus oculi lateralis over both buccal region. There was no inflammatory finding such as flare in these open comedos. It was diagnosed as senile comedo. Chemical peeling was performed for twice. In the first time, 20% glycolic acid was applied on the whole face, 50% glycolic acid was applied further on the comedo position, and pressure extrusion of the comedo was performed after the peeling. In the second time, 50% glycolic acid was applied to the comedo position, and the pressure extrusion of the comedo was performed similarly. There was no new birth of comedo after six months, and it was almost cured. It is a disease common in the elderlies, but since it is without subject symptom, there are few opportunities of visiting hospital. In the treatment of this disease, pressure extrusion of the comedo is general, but cases in which the surgical resection of conspicuous part, and in which the external use of 5-fluorouracil salve and vitamin A acid salve was effective, are reported. In the above case, by chemical peeling, the surface layer of the comedo was peeled by a fixed depth, and the removal of follicular corneal plug was facilitated.
